Ground from Chisinau municipality settlement excluded from list of locations for placing waste management centre

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Environment Ministry today informed about the exclusion of a ground from the Stauceni commune, Chisinau municipality, from the list of locations considered for placing the waste management centre.  

At a today’s news conference, while answering a question on the locations examined for placing the waste management centre for the Region No 4, which include the districts of Criuleni, Hancesti, Ialoveni, Anenii Noi, as well as the Chisinau municipality, Environment Minister Iordanca-Rodica Iordanov said that, at the moment, the Environment Ministry was holding discussions with the Chisinau city hall, in order to identify the location where the waste management centre will be placed.    

Subsequently, today afternoon, the environment minister was informed about the exclusion of the ground from the Stauceni commune from the list of locations considered for the placement of the waste management centre. In the context, the Environment Ministry says that, by common agreement with the financers, it examined other locations for placing the concerned object. At the same time, the environment minister asked not to make a confusion between the notion of ‘’waste management centre’’ and the one of ‘’waste pit.’’
