Moldovan government approves strategy on Moldova's digital transformation for 2023-2030

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the Strategy of Moldova’s Digital Transformation for 2023-2030.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the document establishes the vision of the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry for the country’s digital development till 2030 and reconfirms the authorities’ determination to edify a modern society, focused on citizens and aligned with the European integration agenda.    

The main goals of the strategy are focused on the promotion of Moldova’s sustainable development through:

1. Development of a digital society;

2. Development of a robust and competitive Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector;

3. Creation of an innovating and resilient digital economy;

4. Establishment of an efficient, intelligent and transparent digital state;

5. Creation of an accessible, safe and inclusive digital environment;  

6. Consolidation of Moldova’s image as digital nation.

„The strategy’s implementation needs joint efforts on behalf of all sides involved: governmental institutions, private sector and civil society. Together, we can turn Moldova into a digital, modern and prosperous nation, prepared for the future challenges,’’ the state secretary at the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry, Mihai Lupascu, said.
