European Village programme: Community centre from north Moldova village renovated

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - The community centre from the Holosnita village, northern Soroca district, has been renovated. The works were carried out within the European Village Programme and cost about 3 million lei (150,000 euros).
The community centre from Holosnita has over 40 years, For many years, the building was in a lamentable state and was no longer bringing together local residents to cultural events. The situation has changed now, when the building was repaired and will become a multifunctional centre.
The project includes works on rehabilitation of walls, floor and ceiling. At the same time, the stage was rearranged and the institution was endowed with musical instruments, furniture, technical equipment and a collection of national costumes.
According to data by the National Office of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), the community centre from Holosnita represents the 26th cultural institution modernized within the European Village Programme.
Another project finished in Soroca is the one from the Oclanda village. The sports hall was renovated in this settlement and the investment amounted to 615,000 lei.
The European Village Programme includes 497 projects, of which 175 ones have been finished so far.
