We aim to create European agriculture in Moldova - president says

Chisinau, 14 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu participated today in an extended meeting with the largest employers and taxpayers in the agro-industrial segment, and discussed the situation in the sector.

The official said that despite all the problems, efficient agriculture can be done in our country. "We can help farmers be competitive and earn more. We need to improve the way we farm and deliver our products to the foreign market. We aim to use all opportunities. The challenges are great, so we will continue to support honest, tax-paying farmers and ranchers. We want to bring the EU home by 2030, to create a European agriculture in our country. Moldovans are not afraid of work, that's why we aim to develop a high-performing agriculture, with quality products", said Maia Sandu.

Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, said that agriculture is and will be the most important economic link of the country. 

Today in Chisinau there is an extended meeting with the largest employers and taxpayers in the agro-industrial segment regarding the situation in the sector and the examination of the budgetary-fiscal policy. During the meeting, problems in the agricultural sector, solutions and perspectives will be discussed.
