Moldovan president to attend UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 18 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Following the invitation of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu today begins her visit to New York to attend the 78th General Assembly.

According to the presidential press service, the main topic of the current session of the General Assembly is Rebuilding trust and relaunching global solidarity: accelerating action on the 2030 agenda and its sustainable development goals for peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all.

On September 18-20, the head of state will participate in the debates. The visit's agenda will also include the participation in the Sustainable Development Goals Summit. In the margin of participation in the high-level segment of the General Assembly, the president will have bilateral meetings.
