Moldovan PM in Berlin says government reliable partner in developing businesses started by investors in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova is a destination for foreign investors and the government continues to promote the policies and reforms oriented to economic growth and supporting the business people, including the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Prime Minister Dorin Recean referred to opportunities given by Moldova to foreign investors at the opening of the Romanian-German business conference, organized in Berlin, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The PM stressed the importance of the cooperation and maintaining a consolidated relation between Moldova, Romania and Germany for the development of businesses in sectors with high value added. ‘’Moldova makes progress as regards the accession to EU. The European market is open for our country and we have recently concluded a free trade agreement with the countries of the European Free Trade Association. The new investments in infrastructure and the subsidies depending on the skills demanded represent a clear invitation for the foreign business environment,’’  Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.    

According to the PM, Moldova provides numerous logistic advantages and potential of growth and extension. Also, those who start a business in Moldova benefit from qualified labour force, predictability and openness on behalf of the authorities, from digitalized services and infrastructure – Free Economic Zones and IT Park. Another facility deals with the possibility of concluding sustainable partnerships in such sectors as renewable energy, agriculture’s industrialization, road and railway infrastructure.       

„I encourage you to analyze the portfolio of investment opportunities from Moldova and I assure you that the government is a reliable partner in developing the business which you start in our country,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean noted.  

PM Dorin Recean and members of the German Eastern Business Association in Berlin discussed opportunities of investments in the key sectors of the national economy, as well as the boosting of the commercial relations between Moldova and Germany.   

The portfolio of German investments in the national economy has been completed through the opening of a production unit of the Erich Jaeger Company in the southern region of the country. According to the authorities, 411 companies with Moldovan-German capital work in Moldova in all.
