Chisinau, 29 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- China is willing to expand and deepen cooperation with Moldova in the renewable energies through a variety of means. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova Yan Wenbin made the statement in an exclusive interview with MOLDPRES State News Agency.

According to the official, Moldova has been affected by energy supply problems, especially in recent years. "China is a global leader in the renewable energy development, has significant capabilities in research and development, equipment production, engineering construction and external collaborations in photovoltaic technology, electric vehicles, wind power and other related fields, having high-quality technology with excellent value for money, and it's also safe and reliable. The diversification of energy sources through the development and use of renewable energies is undoubtedly an important way for the Republic of Moldova to achieve the sustainable development of the energy sector", said Yan Wenbin.

The ambassador said the cooperation relations between China and Moldova in the new energy development already have a solid foundation. "The photovoltaic park in Criuleni, built with China's support, was put into operation in early 2022 and remains the largest solar plant in Moldova. It operates stably and supports local economic development and the well-being of local communities. As far as I know, there are many other smaller solar power plants operating in Moldova, with the same technology and equipment brought from China", said Yan Wenbin.

The official said his country was willing to expand and deepen cooperation with Moldova in the renewable energies through a variety of means, this prospect being full of opportunities.
