Citizens to be able to register on online platform to benefit from energy compensation as of November 1

Chisinau, 29 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Starting from November 1, citizens will be able to register on compensatii.gov.md online platform to benefit from energy compensation during the cold season.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, registration will be done in the same way as last year, by filling out an online application, based on which the household is automatically assigned a degree of energy vulnerability. People who do not have technical means or do not have digital skills will be helped to register by social workers or local librarians.

This year, the aid for the cold season was integrated into the governmental Program "Ajutor la contor". Thus, a unified compensation mechanism will be implemented, which will include compensation applied directly to bills for families that heat with thermal energy, gas or electricity, as well as financial aid in the form of a monthly cash payment for families using solid fuels.

The cold season energy compensations will be offered from November 2023 to March 2024.
