Chisinau, Oct. 18 /MOLDPRES/- On October 17, in Chisinau, over 50 delegations - friends and partners of our country - participated in the fourth meeting of the Moldova Support Platform. President Maia Sandu appreciated the help of Moldova's friends thanks to which things were possible in our country that seemed unachievable a few years ago, the presidential press service has reported.

"We have preserved peace, stability and social cohesion while Russia is waging a brutal war on our border. We faced a humanitarian crisis of all proportions when our Ukrainian neighbors sought refuge from bombs. We got through a tough winter and protected low-income citizens from high energy prices. We kept the economy running. And very importantly, despite the crises, we continued to work, to carry out reforms and to advance on joining the EU", Maia Sandu said.

The official spoke to those present about the efforts made by the authorities to face all the challenges. "Our plan is to keep peace at home, to create European living conditions in our localities, to build modern roads throughout the country, a European railway, bridges to connect us to Romania and the EU".

The head of state also said that the huge support received in recent years shows us not only that Moldovans are European and deserve to be part of the European Union, but we are welcome in this community. Maia Sandu urged the participants from over 30 countries to believe in Moldova's power to transform and connect to the EU, and spoke to them about how strong Moldovans can be when they have a common goal and gather together to do beautiful things, for the benefit of the community.
