Moldova to cooperate with Switzerland in labor sector

Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Department for Economy, Education and Research of the Swiss Confederation.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu signed the document during his visit to Switzerland.

The Memorandum aims to set a basis for the signatory parties to take cooperation activities in the labor and employment of mutual interest at national and international levels, to deepen mutual understanding of the systems, to promote decent work and contribute to the progress of the economies of the signatory states.

The cooperation areas in the document are: labor legislation, including international law, labor relations and social dialogue, working conditions, labor inspection, labor market policies.

The collaboration framework will include information exchange, meetings, seminars, joint studies, joint initiatives within the multilateral organizations in which the signatories participate.
