Observers accredited to be able to signal infringements on website www.observator.cec.md on days of elections in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - The observers accredited for the general local elections will be able to signal, in online regime, the infringements committed at the polling station on the day of the ballot. The notifications submitted through the webpage www.observator.cec.md will be received and considered by representatives of electoral bodies.    

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the members of the electoral councils of electoral constituency and of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations were trained as to the use of the instrument concerning the submission and settlement of notifications through the Alegeri (Elections) State Automated Information System (SIAS) - Observatorii (Observers) module.

The Observes module allows optimizing the process of registration of the observers accredited both by CEC and the hierarchically lower bodies, provides a single record of identification documents, through the centralized processing of the information needed for the process of accreditation of observers and registration of interpreters. The module is integrated with the other modules of SIAS Elections, including with the State Register of Voters, which allows automatically verifying the identity of the people proposed for accreditation.    

CEC accredited more than 1,500 observers for the general local elections due on 5 November 2023.
