Moldovan sappers destroy 18 explosive objects, 522 cartridges in last November

Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - National Army’s sappers in last November carried out 14 missions of demining, in the wake of which 18 explosive objects and 522 cartridges were detected and destroyed all over Moldova.

According to the senior officer of the Engineering Service, Ivan Cornegruta, on the concerned period, military sappers intervened in the districts of Dubasari, Floresti, Soldanesti, Lipcani, Causeni, Orhei, Criuleni, Anenii Noi and Leova.

The source noted that all explosive objects had dated back from the World War II and were destroyed in conditions of maximal security.

According to data by the Defence Ministry, 157 demining missions have been fulfilled since the beginning of this year, in the wake of which 984 explosive objects of different types and 13,031 cartridges were destroyed.
