Moldovan citizens can access webpage www.compensatii.gov.md to learn energy vulnerability category assigned

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - Citizens can access the personal online office on the webpage www.compensatii.gov.md, in order to learn what energy vulnerability category had been assigned to them in the 2023-2024 cold season.
According to the Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MMPS), the household consumers who registered in the information system www.compensatii.gov.md till 25 November this year can access in their personal online office the information on the energy vulnerability category assigned. At the same time, this information will be communicated to all applicants also trough SMS on the days to come.
During this cold season, the government provides two types of compensations for energy, depending on the principal source of energy used for heating and the degree of energy vulnerability of the household: compensation in the invoice for natural gas, thermal energy and electric energy and compensation in form of monthly monetary payment worth 800 lei for the household which heat with solid fuels, according to the criteria of eligibility in force established by the cabinet. Some households will clarify for both types of situations, if they fit the high, quite high and extreme energy vulnerability category and benefited from the assistance for the cold period of the year in the previous cold season.
The maximal compensated volume of energy will depend on the fact whether the households established the right to compensation in form of monthly monetary payment or they receive a single type of compensation and namely the compensation for the payment of the energy invoices. Thus, the maximally compensated volumes for the beneficiaries due to receive also the compensation in form of monetary payment are: 90 cubic metres/month for natural gas; 0.9 Gcal/month for thermal energy and 750 kWh/month for electric energy.
As for the household consumers who will benefit only from compensations in invoice, the state will compensate a maximal volume of 180 cubic metres/month for natural gas and the final prices paid by consumers, depending on the energy vulnerability category, will vary between 12 and 17 lei. The thermal energy will be compensated for a volume of 1.3 Gcal/month, with the compensated price varying between 1,450 and 2,900 lei/Gcal.
The compensation for electric energy will be provided for a maximal volume consumed of 1,500 kWh per one month and the final prices will vary between 1.54 and 2.54 lei/kWh.
The first compensations will be provided in the invoices for last November and for the invoices which have been already issued for November 2023, they will be recalculated and included in the invoice fort the next month. As for the household consumers eligible for monetary payment, this compensation will be paid by the National Social Insurances House (CNAS), on the beneficiary’s bank account, if CNAS holds his/her bank data or it will be able to be raised at any post office of Moldova, upon the presentation of the identity act.
The households can further register on the website www.compensatii.gov.md, in order to benefit from compensations for energy on the cold period of the year. Thus, for the applications submitted after 25 November 2023, the compensations will be provided starting from December this year.
For additional information, citizens can call the green line 0 8000 5000 starting from Monday till Friday during 10:00-20:00 and on Saturday, in the time interval between 10:00 and 16:00 or they can appeal to the email suport@compensatii.gov.md.
