Express European Village programme: works of rehabilitation of public institutions' buildings carried out in 27 settlements of Moldova

Chisinau, 12 December /MOLDPRES/ - Works on rehabilitation of public institutions’ buildings have been carried out through the Express European Village programme in 27 settlements of Moldova.
An example to this effect is a project carried out in the Radoaia village, central Sangerei district, where the headquarters of the mayoralty was modernized, with an investment of 450,000 lei from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development. A similar project was implemented in the Burlacu village, southern Cahul district, bringing benefits to about 1,800 residents.
At the same time, in the Cobilea village, northern Soldanesti district, a social public building was renovated. The building hosts the post office, a centre for refugees and a centre for elderly people.
The Express European Village national programme is a continuity of the European Village Programme and was launched at an initiative by President Maia Sandu, in order to allow settlements implement quick projects, in six months at the latest, which need less financial means. The programme includes 399 projects on modernization of infrastructure in Moldova’s villages, and 193 of them have been finished so far.
