Moldovan, Romanian officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, Dec. 12 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean today had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu, the government's communication department has reported.

The Romanian official said that the government of Romania will further support our European path and will remain a reliable partner in the entire European integration process.

The Chisinau official appreciated the Bucharest authorities' support for the start of the negotiation process at the European Union, including in the perspective of the European Council, on December 14 -15 in Brussels.

"We look with confidence to our European future, knowing that we have a friend like Romania, who supports us unconditionally as always in achieving our European goals," said Recean.

The issues also concerned bilateral cooperation, focusing on the implementation of joint projects between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, for the benefit of the citizens of both states. The sides referred to cooperation in the energy sector and the development of cross-border infrastructure.
