Moldovan president talked to Romanian, Portuguese, Finnish officials

Chisinau, Dec. 12 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today held telephone discussions focused on bilateral relations and the European path of the Republic of Moldova with President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister of the Portuguese Republic Antonio Costa and Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo, the presidential press service has reported.

Maia Sandu discussed with Iohannis the European agenda, reform implementation, transport infrastructure projects and electrical interconnection projects.

During the talks with the Portuguese Prime Minister, Maia Sandu said that the year 2023 marked a new impetus in bilateral relations, with several cooperation agreements being signed, including in the economic field.

In the conversation with Petteri Orpo, Maia Sandu highlighted the desire of the Republic of Moldova to continue strengthening bilateral ties with Finland, especially in the context of our country's aspirations to join the European Union.
