Over 220 projects included in Express European Village Program completed

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- 222 projects included in the Express European Village Program have been completed, bringing benefits to several localities in the country. Half of them concerned the modernization of sports infrastructure, the construction of playgrounds and leisure spaces.

Among the projects are the construction of the stadium in the village of Gordinești, Rezina district, as well as the setting up of a mini-stadium in the open air in the village of Sărătenii Vechi, Telenesti district. Also, playgrounds for children were built in Zgărdești village, Telenești district and in Ustia village, Dubăsari district.

According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development, the beneficiaries of the initiatives to modernize the sports infrastructure are 168 thousand citizens from 112 localities.

The Express European Village program offers localities the opportunity to implement rapid projects in just six months, with the project value of around 450 thousand lei (22.5 thousand euros). This is a continuation of the European Village program, aimed at consolidating the infrastructure and improving the quality of life in 399 villages in the Republic of Moldova.
