Petrol price registers new absolute minimum for this year, diesel drops below 21 lei

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) finds that the petrol price registers a new absolute minimum for this year, reaching 22.73 lei per liter. At the same time, diesel fuel continues its cheaper trend and falls below the psychological threshold of 21 lei per liter.

"Despite previous pessimistic forecasts issued by the experts of international agencies specialized in oil markets, which predicted an increase in prices towards the second half of 2023, ANRE finds that the current situation on the international stock exchanges does not show the signals of a restriction in the fuel supply , a fact that is directly reflected in the decrease in the quotations of these products", announced ANRE.

Therefore, the price calculated by ANRE for petrol registers a new absolute minimum for this year, "having its Platts quotations strongly influenced by the announcement of the American Energy Information Administration regarding the increase in the level of stocks of the product".

Under these conditions, for tomorrow, ANRE announced a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 22.73 lei per liter, down by 0.14 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold for a maximum of 20.87 lei per liter, down by 0.19 lei.
