Over 10,000 people employed through National Employment Agency of Moldova in 2023

Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 10,150 people have been employed during this year. A number of 8,477 of them are jobless people.

According to the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), 3,784 out of all employed people are women, 1,507 have ages between 55 and 66 years, 260 people are with disabilities, 3,110 are young people with ages between 16 and 35 years and 221 are citizens who returned from abroad.

At the same time, 5,357 out of the jobless people registered reside in rural settlements. As many as 2,643 out of all unemployed people recorded have no qualification and have general secondary education.

Thus, 23.8 per cent of these people were employed in the field of collective, social and personal services activities, 27.3 per cent in constructions, 12.5 in industry, 11.7 per cent in agriculture, 9.5 per cent – in the wholesale and retail trade, etc.

Also, 31.404 vacant jobs were registered during this year.
