Deputy Prime Minister continues promoting opening of accession negotiations with Moldova

Chisinau, 14 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- After the recent visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu is in Paris together with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba, where the discussions continue on preparation for the European Council that begins today, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The head of Moldovan diplomacy had a meeting with Laurence Boone, Minister of State for Europe to address France's broad support for the European agenda of Moldova. France is a reliable ally and friend for our country, a fact proven by many projects carried out with French support.

Popescu had a frank and detailed discussion with Péter Szijjárto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary in Paris. They shared opinions on the importance of the European Union enlargement process and starting the negotiation process in the shortest possible time.

Together with Alaiba, Popescu participated in a meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and OECD, a document that will contribute to the implementation of reforms in key areas, according to OECD standards and the experience of member states.
