Moldovan parliament ratifies cooperation agreement between Moldova and Portugal

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - The lawmakers today ratified an agreement on cooperation in more sectors between Moldova and Portugal. Thus, Moldova will cooperate with Portugal in such fields as education, science, technology, culture, youth, sport and mass media.  

Thus, the cooperation in the education sector will be carried out though encouraging the exchange of information on the education system, development of joint projects and programmes in schools, identification of ways and procedures of mutual recognition of certificates, diplomas and other education documents, as well as promotion of the academic, scientific and technological cooperation. At the same time, scholarships will be provided to students and teachers and they will be encouraged to participate in training courses as well.  

Under the agreement, the academic mobility of science people, teachers and researchers will be encouraged, exhibition, fairs and other cultural events will be organized and artists from both countries will be able to exchange experience. A priority provision of the agreement regards the cooperation in the sports sector – actions of combating the doping, training specialists and the exchange of experience.  

The agreement on cooperation between Moldova and Portugal was signed in Lisbon on 11 September 2023.
