Moldovan president thanks EU states' ambassadors for their countries' contribution to starting negotiations on Moldova's accession to European Union

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu participated in an art exhibition opened by the Embassy of Spain at the National History Museum from Chisinau today. The event took place on the occasion of the ending of the mandate of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will be followed by the one of Belgium, the presidential press service has reported.

During the discussion with the ambassadors of the EU countries attending the event, the head of state welcomed the 14 December historical decision by the European Council on the starting of negotiations for Moldova’s accession to the European Union. The Moldovan president expressed gratitude for each country’s contribution to this important achievement.
