Chisinau International Airport to have abbreviation RMO

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu today informed that the Chisinau International Airport would have a new abbreviation.
„Starting from 18 January 2024, the Chisinau International Airport will have the abbreviation RMO (Republic of Moldova). The abbreviation KIV – a shortening of the Russian denomination Kishinev – will no longer appear on the table of flights,’’ Spinu said on the social network.
