Moratorium on hiring staff of budget sector to be extended until 31 December 2024

Chisinau, Dec. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Government approved today the decision on temporary moratorium on the recruitment of staff from the budget sector in vacant positions. The moratorium for the about 16,000 vacant positions registered at the end of November is extended until 31 December 2024.

During the period of the moratorium, the employment of staff in vacant positions is carried out with the monthly maintenance of the number of vacant positions per public authority/institution. At the same time, the provisions of the project admit the possibility of hiring, during the moratorium, the staff strictly necessary to carry out the mission of the public authority or in the case of reorganizations, exceeding the number of vacant positions through coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

At the same time, it is recommended to administrative-territorial units, independent public authorities and the National Social Insurance House to suspend the recruitment of staff in the vacant positions registered on the same date.
