Costeşti Sports Tourist Center to expand activity in 2024

Chisinau, 2 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centre paid a post-implementation monitoring visit of the construction project of the Sports Tourist Center in Costești, Ialoveni, where the administrator aims to develop this year a Sports Tourist Guide for the promotion and organization of cultural events sports at the local-regional and national level.

Local authorities, jointly with the Center's administrator intend that the goal becomes the host of sports competitions between the young people from the localities of Costești, Molești, Hansca, Zâmbreni, Pojăreni, Ialoveni and the entire center of the Republic of Moldova. "Currently, around 130 children from different villages of the district are trained here, divided by age into seven football teams, who have training three times a week. The complex also hosts important competitions, which are held under the auspices and in collaboration with the Moldovan Football Federation. Also here, a Chess Club, which has about 20 children, is also active", the quoted source said.

To ensure the sustainability of the investments and improve the conditions for the beneficiaries, the authorities have already initiated the design and implementation of the lighting system for the sports field. For 2024, the administrator proposes to develop a Sports Tourist Guide to promote and organize cultural-sports events at the local-regional and national level.

For the execution of the works within this project, 22.5 million lei (1.12 million euros) were spent from the National Regional and Local Development Fund. The project was implemented by ADR Centru under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
