More facilities for specialists in veterinary medicine sector enter into force in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) says that the Regulation on the providing of facilities to the young graduates of the higher education institutions in the veterinary medicine sector, approved under Government Decision, has entered into force.    

Thus, the physicians, graduates of the veterinary medicine facility, either of Moldova or from abroad, who will profess in the field, can receive: one-off allowance worth 15 average salaries on the economy which will be paid in three equal installments (after the expiration of the first month and subsequently, at the end of each year of work); compensation for the expenses of renting a dwelling or free of charge dwelling, provided by the local public administration authority; monthly compensation of the cost of 30 kW/hour of electric energy and annual compensation of the cost of one cubic metre of wood and of one ton of coal, including in the case of heating on gas.       

Also, the sectors of activity for the graduates of the veterinary medicine faculty have extended, as follows: the supervision of the health and welfare of animals; safety of the animal origin products; diagnose of veterinary laboratory; supervision of the sanitation of the food for animals; identification, registration and traceability of animals; prescription, release and retail sale, administering and use of veterinary medicines, rat poisons and disinfectants; control of the inoffensiveness and impact on the animals of the veterinary medicines, cosmetic, hygienic products, of disinfectants, accessories and other products meant for animals, etc.      

The veterinary medicines graduates can be employed at the peasant enterprises, households, farms for breeding animals, slaughter houses, state’s institutions (National Food Safety Agency, Republican Veterinary Diagnose Centre), veterinary clinics and drug stores, which need the direct presence of the veterinary physician. At the same time, they are able to profess in one of the organizational and legal forms of the entrepreneurial activity, such as: veterinary clinics and drug stores, providing services for animal breeders, etc.  

„Beneficiaries can be graduates of higher education institutions who in the next two years after graduation are employed or independently carry out the profession of veterinary physician in cities and villages (communes), except for the Chisinau and Balti municipalities. The National Food Safety Agency, farmers and entrepreneurs who have fields of work which imply the presence of the veterinary physician are ready to provide every informative and professional support for the education of young specialists who are willing to profess in the areas where there is an acute lack of veterinary physicians,’’ ANSA added.
