Natural gas consumption up by 35% in December 2023

Chisinau, 12 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- In December 2023, the gas consumption was 137.8 million cubic meters, which is 35.4% more compared to the same period of 2022. It increased by 54.2 million cubic meters or by 64.8% against November 2023. The information was presented today by Moldovagaz.
In December, compensations of 169.5 million lei (8.47 million euros) were calculated for about 460 thousand consumers.
334 consumption units were disconnected from the natural gas distribution network, the owners' debts being about 1.4 million lei.
According to the data of SA "Moldovagaz", the payment of natural gas consumption on December 31, 2023 is 98%, 12.3 billion lei.
