Moldovan deputy premier's message on Diplomat's Day

Chisinau, 17 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu today sent a congratulatory message on Diplomat's Day, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The message reads:

"Together with the anniversary of the 32nd anniversary of the historic moment of submitting the application for membership to the United Nations, today we also celebrate the Diplomat's Day, set up in 2014.

We dedicate this day to recognizing the extraordinary efforts and commitment of all involved in our country's diplomacy. It is an opportunity to reflect on the significant contributions made in promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova on the international stage.

Moldova's diplomacy is focused on the approximation of our country to the European Union, the dialogue with partner countries, the promotion of economic diplomacy and actions for the diaspora. Diplomacy is active in bilateral and multilateral interactions with partner states, including to ensure regional peace and security, while the promotion of domestic products, including agricultural products on foreign markets, highlights a strong commitment in economic diplomacy. The actions for the diaspora, manifested through cultural events and the signing of agreements with concrete benefits for our citizens abroad, such as social agreements or those regarding driving licenses, reflect our active diplomacy in support of the diaspora.

I warmly congratulate both those who are currently devoting their efforts to the diplomacy of our country, as well as those who, over time, have been the craftsmen of our foreign relations. Through collaboration and determination, we managed to strengthen partnerships, defend national interests and bring Moldova to the attention of the global community.

Together we have overcome challenges and celebrated successes, demonstrating unity and resilience to various global challenges.

Happy Birthday to all current and former colleagues from the diplomatic service of the Republic of Moldova!".
