National Culture Day marked at Museum of History of Chisinau City

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - More cultural activities occasioned by the National Culture Day took place at the Museum of History of the Chisinau City on 16 January.     

The events started with the inauguration of an exhibition of documentary photos titled, Domnica Darienco – theatre and movie actor – 105th birthday anniversary.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the museum’s director, Valeria Suruceanu, said the exhibition presented Domnica Darienco’s life and self-denial for the theatre. The actress was on stages for 50 years, playing more than 100 memorable parts. The exhibition will be opened till 17 February.    

At the same time, at the exhibition’s inauguration, the deputy mayor, Angela Cutasevici, awarded the diplomas to personalities in the culture sector for the contribution brought to the development and promotion of the Chisinau city’s heritage.      

The event ended with a music recital presented by accordionist Radu Ratoi and students of the Orchestral Instruments Department of the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy.
