Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Hundreds of forgotten stories and memories from six regional museums, reflected in the exhibitions of photos from six regional museums, which provide an incursion in the life and stories of their settlements from the inter-war period, have been digitalized and restored, within the Blue Frame project, implemented by Victor Organ.

The initiative is one of those ten winning projects of the Museums of the Future Programme, implemented by Artcor Centre, COR Association of Creative Companies, backed by the Culture Ministry, USAID Moldova, the Embassy of Sweden and the United Kingdom, through the Future Technologies Activity Project and the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity Project (RCRA). In his capacity of specialist in turning to account the photographic heritage, Victor Organ noticed that a good deal of the old photos were near extinction because of the degradation. Thus, he ruled to build his own archive of photos from the inter-war period and given that he did not want to be a mere collector of photos, Organ was set to even exhibit them in regional museums.

Thus, through the Museums of the Future Programme, he started this year the process of collection, digitalization and restoration of the photos of the local residents from six villages: Horesti, Truseni, Sofia, Mereni, Calarasi and Taraclia. Hundreds of photos, selected according to such criteria as age, history and artistic procedure, were restored carefully. Through this project, Victor Organ had a clear goal: to cooperate with regional museums, in order to update the present exhibitions.

Through these exhibitions, Victor Organ managed to purchase one of the most advanced scanners of Moldova, able to reproduce the coloured films and the white-black ones. Thus, the museum halls involved in the project can compete with alternative galleries and spaces from Chisinau. The exhibitions are not only about projection of older photos, but also about the immersive experiences for visitors.
