Moldovan PM in Davos says Moldova interested in boosting bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government’s actions as regards the European integration way, the increase in the bilateral trade and consolidation of the cooperation in the field of combating corruption have been among the subjects discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and His Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, during meetings in Davos, Switzerland.     

According to the government’s communication department, PM Dorin Recean thanked the Lithuanian head of state for the unconditional support provided to Moldova and the backing of the country’s European integration way. ‘’Moldova is a reliable partner for the European Union. We are prepared to actively contribute to the consolidation of the unity and security on the European continent,’’ the prime minister said.    

At the same time, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, Prime Minister Dorin Recean discussed with His Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco the business opportunities provided by Moldova.     

„Moldova is interested in boosting the bilateral cooperation, especially in attracting the Monacan capital. Besides the IT sector, the wine-making one or of digital content, we can provide a string of other important opportunities, such as the carrying out of infrastructure projects, through which we connect to Ukraine and get closer to the European Union,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.      

The 54th meeting of the World Economic Forum will end on 19 January 2024.
