Bulgaria, Poland support Moldova's European integration way

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has discussed with his Bulgarian counterpart Nikolai Denkov and President of Poland Andrzej Duda possibilities of consolidating the bilateral economic relations, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, the government’s communication department reported.      

PM Dorin Recean and Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov analyzed opportunities through which the bilateral relation in the economic and education sectors can be strengthened. Thus, the officials voiced hope that the extension of the Anghel Kanchev University from Ruse would be opened in Taraclia as soon as possible.     

„The new higher education institution will be attractive not only for the ethnic Bulgarians from south Moldova, but also for the entire region,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said, inviting the prime minister of Bulgaria to pay a visit to Chisinau.  

Also, PM Recean confirmed to his Bulgarian counterpart that Moldova would continue the efforts of carrying out the reforms of the country’s modernization according to the European model. 

In Davos, Prime Minister Dorin Recean thanked President of Poland Andrzej Duda for the backing of the European integration way of Moldova, as well as of Ukraine, which heroically protects the peace and security in the region. The officials discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the opportunities of their consolidation, in the context in which 81 companies with Polish capital already invest in Moldova. 

„We are set to develop new Moldovan-Polish economic relations. We are resolute to carry more joint projects for the benefit of the citizens from both countries,’’ the Moldovan PM said.   

Moldova and Poland concluded 39 bilateral treaties. Poland is among the top 10 commercial partners of Moldova in the world and is on the 14th position in the ranking of the principal foreign investors from Moldova.
