Moldovan president meets mayors of Falesti district

Chisinau, 21 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met today with several mayors from Fălești district and discussed the actions to be taken to ensure the well-being of local communities, the presidential press service has reported.

"Moldova's European future is our only chance to achieve this goal. We see it through concrete things that have been happening in recent years - through the European Village Program alone, more than 57 million lei have come here," the president said.

In the villages of Fălești district, 24 projects have been implemented or are underway under this program - natural things expected by the inhabitants for decades - street lighting, water supply system, playgrounds for children or the renovation of schools and kindergartens. The head of state encouraged local representatives to use funding opportunities for the good of the people and to fulfill their role in transforming Moldova into a European state.
