National Public Health Agency says 143 cases of influenza registered in Moldova last week

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 143 cases of seasonal influenza were registered on 15-21 January, confirmed through the way of laboratory and in the clinical and epidemiological one.

According to the National Public Health Agency, the flu cases were recorded in Chisinau - 99 cases; Balti – 15, Criuleni and Soroca – 5 cases each; Floresti and Ialoveni – 3 cases each; Briceni, Sangerei – 2 cases each; Causeni, Drochia, Edinet, Falesti, Glodeni, Orhei, Rezina, Rascani and Straseni – one case each. These cases were reported in people who belong to the following age groups: 0-4 years (43 cases), 5-14 years (45 cases), 15-29 years (5 cases), 30-64 years (25 cases), 65 years and more (25 cases).

As many as 431 cases of influenza, 105,779 cases of viroses have been notified in Moldova since the beginning of the cold season.
