Modern information systems to be set in 18 trolley buses of Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - Modern information systems will be set in 18 trolley buses from the Moldovan capital.

According to the Chisinau Electric Transport Administration (RTEC), presently they are set in 10 articulated trolley buses of the type Solaris Trollino 18 and will be subsequently set in another eight vehicles of different model.

The new equipment, connected to the GPS system, provides passengers with information in real time about: the time of arrival, name of the stop, with opportunities of transshipment to other routes (including buses), positioning with the direction of movement in real time on digital map.

„Besides the visual information system, we also prepare to introduce automatic sound announcements, in order to notify passengers about the stops. This improvement will add an additional level of accessibility and comfort,’’ the institution noted.

The trolley busses endowed with such systems can be met on the routes 10, 13 and 22.
