As much as 252 million lei transferred to farmers' accounts in Moldova in last January, against 92 million lei last year

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency of Investments and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) disbursed 252 million lei (12.6 million euros) in subsidies to farmers’ accounts in the first month of 2024. 

„Thus, a significant efficiency was marked against the same period of the year before, when the sum distributed stood at 92 million lei,’’ AIPA said. 

The distribution of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and the Rural Environment is as follows: 45.52 million lei – post-investments subsidies; 1.63 million lei – subsidies in advance; 5.84 million lei – for the implementation of the LEADER programme; 149.52 million lei – for applications on asking for additional subsidy; 30.4 million lei – direct payments to the animal husbandry sector; 19.69 million lei – to the National Fund of Vine and Wine.    

The fund of subsidization of agriculture and rural environment is of 1.6 billion lei. Starting from 1 February, the farmers can submit applications to ask for subsidies for the additional measures of this year. The call is open till 30 September 2024.
