Over 15,000 people call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service (AMUP) has been called for 15,679 citizens, of whom 2,802 children.
According to the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre, in the last week, the intervention of ambulance was asked for the following emergencies: 3,671 cardiovascular, of which 43 with acute coronary syndrome, followed by 3,399 respiratory emergencies, of which 1,910 acute viral respiratory infections; 2,001 neurological emergencies, of which 249 with cerebral vascular accidents and 1,015 traumatological emergencies.
On the same period, the ambulance was called for 31 people injured in the wake of traffic accidents. Subsequently, following the providing of the first aid, the teams of physicians carried 25 patients to hospital, of whom three children.
Also last week, the emergency joint controller’s office of the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP) received 49 calls for emergencies triggered by physical, chemical and environmental agents, of which 30 combustions and two hypothermia cases. At the same time, 48 calls were recorded for toxic emergencies, of which 18 intoxications with medicines, 11 ones with carbon monoxide, eight intoxications with alcohol and two ones with mushrooms.
