Over 300 companies participate in second edition of Economic Forum from Chisinau

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - About 300 companies from Moldova, Romania, Poland and Italy have brought together at the second edition of the Economic Forum from Chisinau titled, Investments, Innovation, European Integration. Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania participated in the event, organized under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania, the government’s communication department has reported.     

In his speech, PM Dorin Recean referred to the developments recorded by Moldova during one year, the process of improvement of the investment climate and the creation of better conditions for business people.  

According to the prime minister, there are even more reasons for which foreign investors should come to Moldova. Among them, there is the access to more markets, as priority, to the European market, de-bureaucratized economy, a strong financial and banking sector and access to capital markets. Also, Moldova has a secured energy sector and the authorities put emphasis on the continuous development of the infrastructure needed for the business environment and turning to account of the opportunities in the electronic energy field.    

„Moldova has talent and capacity to innovate. We need long-term capital and people due to come to turn to account the opportunities provided by our country. With the opening of the negotiations on accession to EU, we become even more attractive for the investors whom we wait, in order to edify a European country together,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.   

The Economic Forum from Chisinau is held on 22-23 February. Under the agenda, the participants today will discuss the development of the partnerships between the entrepreneurial environment, in the present economic context and the role of the higher education in the stimulation of the innovation and technological development.    

On 23 February, the works of the forum will continue with discussions on subjects regarding the solutions for smart cities, tendencies in the information technologies sector and strategies for the promotion of the agro-food industry.
