Moldovan deputy PM meets head of the Council of Europe's Office in Chisinau

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a meeting with Head of the Council of Europe’s Office in Chisinau Falk Lange, the government’s communication department has reported.

The officials discussed the developments on the European integration agenda, as well as the steps due to be undertaken in the next months for the consolidation of the Bureau for European Integration. Another subject tackled regarded the government’s priorities and how can they be contained in the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Moldova for the 2025-2028 years.

Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov expressed gratitude for the projects the Council of Europe was implementing in Moldova and which were aimed at consolidating the judicial system, improving the electoral legislation, combating corruption and money laundering, promoting the social rights and the gender equality, reforming the penitentiary system and the local public administration, protecting the children and backing the refugees from Ukraine.
