Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has attended the opening of the Martisor International Music Festival. ‘’I watched with admiration our artists – names which are to head the bill on big stages in Copenhagen, Geneva or Lisbon. I know that there are months and years of work, of sacrifice behind a brilliance of one hour on stage. Therefore, we must be able to honour the best ones, know them and promote their values,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The head of state noted that the 2024 year edition of the festival was a special one, as for the first time, Martisor would reach all districts of Moldova, as well as beyond its borders, due to a campaign organized by the government for all Moldovan citizens.
Artists of Moldova and from abroad will perform on stages of dozens of cities and villages. And the citizens from the country and of the Diaspora will be able to admire the beauty of this festival and the country’s artists, who take the fame of Moldova all over the world.
„I was brought up in a family which always sang and loved songs. I believe that the music is able to best of all get close to the man’s heart and raise him above the daily life. I urge you to go to Martisor – a festival due to which the spring starts nicer,’’ President Maia Sandu also said.
