Two years since sending by Moldova of application on accession to EU marked on 3 March

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu signed the application on Moldova’s accession to the European Union on 3 March 2022.   

On this occasion, the head of state came up with a message which confirms that, during these two years, Moldova had made the first resolute steps on the European way. Also, the Moldovan president says that these efforts were rewarded by the positive decision on the starting of the negotiations on accession, which came on behalf of the EU member states.    

„The accession to EU means better conditions in schools and kindergartens, modernize roads, new bridges, hospitals endowed with modern equipment and, the most important thing, it means peace and security. We have a lot of work to do, but together we can achieve all goals set. Together, we have the power to overcome any obstacle and to edify a better future for Moldova in the great European family,’’ President Maia Sandu added.
