For her part, the director of the Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau, Monica Babuc, said that this was a quite important exhibition, staged on the eve of the day of 27 March, when Bessarabia’s Union with Romania will be celebrated. ‘’We wanted to open a page of the Romanian space, which we know less here in Bessarabia, with the concerned traditions from the historical Maramures,’’ Monica Babuc noted.
