Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has made fast progress in digitisation, and the authorities aim to have 75 percent of all public services for entrepreneurs available online by the end of this year. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitisation Dumitru Alaiba made the statements.
He said "last year, by June, we had only 38% of all public services for entrepreneurs available online digitized, and now we have reached a rate of 54%".
Dumitru Alaiba said "our target is to have 75% of all public services online by the end of this year". "We are doing this because this is primarily how we increase the efficiency and productivity of each entrepreneur. The truth is that when this option does not exist, the productivity of each company suffers. Bureaucracy costs every entrepreneur dearly and that is what we want to solve first, as well as the corruption, totally eliminating the interaction between bureaucrat and entrepreneur," he said.
Another initiative that is close to completion is EVO app. Its general idea is that absolutely everything the citizen needs in interacting with the state - should be in one application. "We're talking about electronic identity documents - driver's license, ID card in everyone's phone. We're talking about payments - fines or taxes that can be paid in two clicks with a card linked to the app. We're talking about public services, information, all kinds of statements, criminal records," he said.
