Moldovan head of state meets Hecenii ensemble today

Chisinau, April 8 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met today Hecenii, young dancers from Heciul-Nou, Sangerei, who became viral these days on all social networks after they made a sensation on a TV show in Romania. The official congratulated them on their performance, which was full of energy, passion and vitality and which enchanted millions of people.

Even though Hecenii ensemble has been in existence for 13 years and has so far trained entire generations of dancers, it was at risk of running out of rehearsal space. The President was impressed by their dedication, commitment and determination to fight for existence, performance and dream of taking their name around the world.

"I also have great admiration for the leader of the ensemble, Dionisie Cobilaș, a former disciple of renowned choreographer Ion Sambriș. Such people are the true ambassadors of our country and it is vital to support them," Maia Sandu said.
