Moldovan PM attends Artificial Intelligence and Big Data conference

Chisinau, April 18 /MOLDPRES/- Artificial intelligence can help us increase the economy and productivity, and the government will use the systems and algorithms to target and maximize the results of public policies. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement at Artificial Intelligence and Big Data conference, held in Chisinau on 18- 19 April.

"Artificial intelligence can help citizens and business increase their efficiency. We are looking for solutions to use artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for more transparent monitoring of public procurement and for using data, including open data, to develop more effective public policies," he said.

The Prime Minister urged the participants to find as many application solutions as possible so that each of us, as members of society can benefit. Referring to the regional security context, he stressed the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing cyber security and ensuring peace.

He voiced confidence that with the continuous growth of the IT sector in our country, the Republic of Moldova will not only use the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence, but will also contribute to the development of this sector.

The event brought together experts, businessmen, representatives of the education sector and public authorities from the USA, Germany, Singapore, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Moldova.
