Chisinau, June 7. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) approved today decrease in gas tariff.

Thus, household consumers will pay 18.06 lei per a cubic meter of gas. The price is 38% lower than the current one.

According to the decision, "ANRE found the existence of some objective factors that condition the price revision, the priority being the reduction of the average annual gas procurement cost".

The decision enters into force upon publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.

Currently, household consumers pay 29.26 lei per a cubic meter of gas.

Earlier this week, Moldovagaz company submitted to ANRE a request on reducing the average tariff for the supply of natural gas to end consumers.

In June, the price of gas purchased by Moldovagaz from Gazprom is 568.15 dollars per thousand cubic meters, compared to 660.76 dollars - in May.

According to the contract signed in October 2021, the price of natural gas purchased by Moldovagaz from Gazprom is calculated differently in winter and summer.
