Government says Moldova's resources must be allocated responsibly to everybody, to help agriculture be profitable
Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s resources must be allocated responsibly to everybody who need this, in order to help the agriculture be profitable. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, today made statements to this effect in a reaction, after the farmers protesters had gone out on streets with their tractors again.
„Mr. Prime Minister and other government decision-makers held dozens of meetings on diverse communication platforms. We will inform, without delay, the public opinion also about the next meeting with the prime minister, as soon as it is confirmed. The authorities transparently and clearly informed about the support from which the farmers benefited, in order to improve the situation in the entire sector, i.e. not only for those who produce cereals for export – a sector hit by the war, interruption of the commerce and the world economic crisis,’’ Voda said.
According to the spokesman, the government, the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) are consistent and help the farmers targetedly and not only the members of a single association, including the disbursement of the subsidies worth 1.9 billion lei from this year, the reimbursed value added tax (VAT). ‘’We help also at the moment with the getting of the emergency state certificates,’’ Daniel Voda noted.
MAIA on 4 December informed about the work of the commission for the problems invoked by the farmers at the protest from last November. The commission is made up of a specialized team, which includes representatives of more institutions. The commission carries out the analysis of the problems invoked by the farmers, in order to identify the causal connection of these problems with the regional context and will propose measures to solve them.
Today, more protesters went out on streets of the Moldovan capital, thus disturbing the traffic on more streets in the city.
