Moldexpo exhibition centre hosts three exhibitions from food industry sector

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - Three exhibitions in the food industry field today were inaugurated at the Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre: Fine food expo, Food technology and Packaging. Depot. They will be opened till 21 May and bring together producers from more countries, including Moldova, France, Italy, Poland and Romania.  

The Moldexpo director general, Carolina Chiper, said that the newest technologies in the sector were presented at the exhibitions. ‘’Thirty years ago, this event was the pillar of our work. Following a difficult period, we returned. We have reached a period when we can give a new breath and a re-launch of this event, due to the participants who had the courage to be with us and who, on a difficult period, produce qualitative goods which they will display to consumers at Moldexpo during four days,’’ Carolina Chiper said.   

At the exhibitions’ inauguration, the state secretary at the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry, Iurie Scripnic, said that they represented an opportunity for the participating companies to launch new perspectives of cooperation both in Moldova and internationally. ‘’The exhibitions from this year are quite important. The agriculture produces raw material and the next element in the value chain is the processing. The value added appears when we have processing and all these will bring an additional income to the companies which daily carry out their work in agriculture,’’ Iurie Scripnic added.      

The exhibitions come back to Moldexpo after a three-year break. Producers and distributors of food products, equipment and technology for the food industry, the processing, depositing and packing one will promote the supply through displays of technology, advertising and charity actions, master-classes for cooking dishes, tastings of products.      

The deputy director of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, Rodica Crudu, said the participants in the exhibitions can benefit from 100-per cent compensations from the participation fee and of 50 per cent of the cost of the exhibition space.      

Last-generation equipment for the food industry, making of bread products and confectioner’s goods, multifunctional equipment for the processing of meat, machines for cutting fruits and vegetables, lines of tinned products, of refrigeration, etc. are displayed at the 27th edition of the Food technology exhibition.  

The Packaging. Depot exhibition, at its 25th issue, emphasizes the most diverse technologies, equipment and materials for automation of production processes, equipment for depositing, packing lines, conveyers, dispensers. The most diverse food products, from ice-cream and sweets up to cheese and beverages – can be tasted and purchased at the 27th edition of the Fine food expo exhibition.   

The exhibition event from this year was extended and hosts the Street food festival – a spring gastronomic picnic, where traditional Moldovan dishes, as well as other less usual delights for Moldova can be tasted.
