Moldovan fruits producers participate in biggest specialized exhibition in Europe
Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - A group of 16 fruits producers and exporters members of the Moldova Fruct Association on 8-10 February take part in the Fruit Logistica Exhibition in Berlin, Germany, with apples, table grapes and dehydrated plums.
The participation in this event is possible due to the support on behalf of the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity in Moldova Project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF). ‘’The presence of Moldovan producers at the biggest specialized exhibition from Europe has become traditional, allowing them to establish commercial partnerships with importers from all over the world and to reorient their exports both to new European markets and to the Middle East,’’ Moldova Fruct said.
Also, Moldovan producers are interested in learning innovative solutions of managing risks caused by climate changes, which influence the international business with fruits, beginning with the production of the planting material and ending with the adaptation of the production technologies for more years ahead.
”As a result of the current challenges, our strategic goal to position Moldova as country, with modern orchards and post-harvesting infrastructure and as provider of highly qualitative fresh fruits, is widening. Thus, we are set to take over the best international practices of adaptation to the quick changes and we hope to identify optimal solutions of logistics, to establish new partnerships, as well as to set the objectives for the next season with clients,’’ the executive director of the Moldova Fruct Association, Iurie Fala, said.
Last year, the Fruit Logistica Exhibition hosted almost 42,600 exhibitors from more than 130 countries.
