
Moldova's Customs Service collects over 623 million lei last week
Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service (SV) collected over 623.4 million lei (about 31.1 million euros) to the state budget on the period 18 – 24 July 2022, which is by 8.5 per cent more against the budgetary task set for this time interval.
According to SV, private people introduced goods, the value of which in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, with over 17.2 million lei collected, which accounts for 2.8 per cent of the overall sum collected. The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, developing infrastructure, social projects, etc.
Also, in the last week, decision-makers processed 10,973 customs declarations and the flow of transport means stood at about 96,303 crossings.
As for combating frauds, on this period, decision-makers found out 106 infringements of the customs legislation and fines worth over 313,000 lei were imposed.
Since early 2022, the Customs Service has collected 17.7 billion lei to the state budget, up by 23 per cent against the collections recorded on the same period of the year before.
